This is the first produced mix I've ever done (by that I mean not totally live). It was produced in two straight takes, once with the mix, and then with the scratchin. The second half is what I play for most of a set... I recently asked a mate why she thought that almost any dj that played a regular club night in Glasgow always built it up into techno as it picked up, she said "hip hop doesn't build up like that!". The real good nites have disappeared so far underground here that they hardly even exist any more. How much more built up can a nite be than when b-boys are throwing themselves on their heads.
