If you thought Skinnyman wasn’t blowing up enough this year, what with the highly anticipated “Council Estate Of Mind” album release, then check him out in the low budget award winning British film “The Plague”.

“The Plague” is a story about friendship set amongst a backdrop of estate blocks, police wagons and spray paint. Skinnyman stars as a pirate radio host, representing the street with shout outs and freestyles, alongside fellow Mud Family member and regular Itch FM spinner DJ Flip. As well as a heavy mix by DJ Flip, the films soundtrack also features the “Council Estate of Mind” track. Check out the video by the makers of the film! Get requesting!!

What started out as a humble low budget project, in the nature of what we know as hip-hop, “The Plague” is gaining a strong underground following. The film will be screened at the 10th Sarajevo film festival, on the 22nd August and will be awarded the Katrin Cartlidge Foundation prize, presented by British filmmaker Mike Leigh. www.sff.ba
