The first Necro record I opened I cut my finger as I cut through the shrink-wrapping, I don't think I had ever seen so much blood from a paper cut! As my blood pumped out over the cover and down my arm I looked at the cover to see Necro staring back at me with an evil smile, Red bandana and a T-shirt sporting the words "Blood sucking freaks". Then I realised we aint dealing with no run of the mill American act, we aint dealing with glitter and gold, sequins and saints, we are dealing with Necro, the man who will bury you with Satan and strip your girl of her Satin. The man who has more pictures of his female fans on his website than www.dirtysluttyamateurs.com (I made that up), go check it and see. There was nothing else to do than hold up my ancient Celtic talisman and open a porthole to the netherworld, where Necro was sitting waiting cleaver in hand and I with my questions …. So Necro, you have a shit load of tunes out in stores at the moment, what would you recommend as the best record of yours that reflects your persona?
I would say right now people should buy the Gory Days album on cd/2LP it's banging and you can enter my world.

You have an obsession with death, do you think that's fair to say?
Yeah I do, I am a sicko and I like to analyse brutality and it pumps me up to rap rugged shit, it's the only kind of music I like a lot.

What were you like as a kid?
I was a shy kid, I always fought people, I had a big mouth I was told and I would curse people out, I had a real dirty mouth because my father and his mother were foul mouth so I would curse out my elders a lot.

How long have you been in the Hip Hop scene now and what do you think is the best lesson you have learned?
I have been in the game since like 1990 and the best lesson I have learned so far is that even if you're a label your not gonna make money if you do P&D deals with snake distributors that don't wanna see you blow up
I have learned many things, 1000's of things but this is one example.

Your lyrics are quite controversial, especially your treatment towards women or your views on Homosexuals, what's your view on this?
I love women, I don't like faggots, I think girls know my shit is like rough sex and its all in fun, I treat girls good, I might abuse them verbally and beat them but that all depends on the girl and as for fags they should all fucking die I'm tired of them living.

I read somewhere once that you were compared to Eminem, do you find this a compliment or does it piss you off?
It don't piss me off because em sold 10 million + so it shows that people can see I will sell at least 1 million plus and do you know the profits on selling 1 million indie? (Necro has a long laugh to himself) …they are pretty good!

Who did you grow up listening and looking up to?
I was into metal and all the early and late 80's Hip Hop so Metallica to KRS to Rakim to Slayer, to death, to obituary to G Rap to Megadeth and Anthrax and Motley Crue even before I got into Metallica. All that shit was an influence I would be in the projects blasting Cliff Burton solos out the window, so I come from a nice mix which makes me who I am today

I've noticed that you have quite a few samples from films on your tunes, what is your favourite UK film?
I don't have a favourite UK film because I haven't seen enough to say what is a favourite, but I don't judge a movie on where its from but how dope it is.

Now the girls on your website? What's that all about and when did you start putting them on line?
Well for a girl to be on my site she has to be a real fan or I don't put them on so those girls are legit fans of mine and its dope because you don't see too many girls into indie Hip Hop, they are the minority but I love women and I wanna give them love, I'm not gonna put dudes on the page, I put girls so the dudes can look, but they are all real fans, I quiz them all before I put their pic up and they have to name songs they like and shit and all those girls love Necro and I love them.

Have you met them all? I mean there are some stunners on there!
I met like two I think so far, most of them live far away and are not in New York and I have never toured the world yet so I know I will meet them all soon and I know I will fool around with some of them.

Do you have a girlfriend and can you see yourself getting married one of these days?
I don't have a girlfriend now but I do wanna have a wife soon but I gotta be a millionaire before that because I want kids. I need some little motherfuckers I can brainwash, but I need to be well off, I'm not doing what everyone else does, and then their kids grow up fucked up like me.

Your fans are important to you, its clear from our past conversations. How do you think that you have managed to create such a close bond with them?
I keep shit real, I answer emails, I sign autographs, I treat them like peeps, if they are cool they get love if they get out of line I put them in their place, but I treat them like I treat anybody in my grill, I'm a real cat, I'm very honest and I speak my mind and kids respect that shit and I also drop banging shit consistently so kids are smart enough to know if I keep getting iller and iller with my shit I care about this Hip Hop shit and they respect that cuz so many are just out for money while me I show people how you can stay indie and be ya self and still do ya own thing, wait till I really blow this shit the fuck up, my fan base is gonna multiply like cancer cells.

What religion were you brought up as?
I'm a Jew.

What do you think happens when people die and where do you think you are going on the last day?
I don't know, there are many possibilities, we can be just shit or we can go to a heaven or we can be sent back to another world or galaxy, there is so many options of what can happen that I cant say. I believe we do go somewhere but I'm not sure, not yet at least I have more study to do and even forget studying, its something in ya heart, what you believe is what you believe, but I don't believe what is told to me. I decide things for myself, I do think there is a God but he might be an alien so there is many possibilities of where we go when we die, so really I'm thinking about living and I guess in my raps I give my views on things but I will delve into this subject even more in the future.

Have you a criminal record and if so for what?
I have done mad shit but never got caught for shit. I always felt people that got caught were not as smart as me I have done robbery, assault, etc. But never got caught with anything except brass knuckles and I did community service, I know when to and when not to do a crime, so all the stuff I did I never really got caught or did any time more than ya average central bookings and precincts for one day to three day time, no bids, I'm really too clever to do a bid, I'm real slick and maybe I have been "lucky". But I have done a lot of shit that could have had me locked up for 20 years, going to jail don't mean ya ill, jails are filled with pussies, I think ya ill if ya ill, that's all in the mind and how ya handle ya self face to face with people and I keep it real with all humans.

If you got to chose what way you will die, what way would you chose to go?
We don't talk about that.

What releases can we expect from you in the coming year?
I'm dropping Gory Days special edition set CD & DVD 5,000 limited pressing early September go to www.necrohiphop.com as far as other shit, stay tuned I will announce it all, for now we just promote the special edition.
