SÉ Fire are a local Hip Hop group comprising
of two MCs, Mista Fire, Sosé, mesmerising live vocals of
Jamileh, the young DJ Snafu at only 18 years age can cut it like the
best of them, on and off stage Sound FX from Chemical Ollie and a live
drummer Enzo. These guys bring what they make in the studio to the live
show. Jamileh’s creepy but amazing singing which provides the undercoat
for the top coat of tight and controlled vocals from the two MCs. These
guys make their own beats, produce and promote themselves, with an album
out this Summer, expect big things from this unique, up and coming Hip
Hop outfit.
Safesoul: For the
rest of the UK who are SÉ Fire?
Mista Fire: SÉ Fire is a collective of rappers, a singer and an
amazing DJ.
Sosé: Basically SÉ Fire is musical Hip Hop, Trip Hop, Drum and
Bass, Grime, Dubstep type music. And that's a quote!
Safesoul: What got
you guys started in Hip Hop?
 Mista Fire: Back in Wales, where I'm from, I got hold of an old
Wu Tang mixtape on the B side was Jehst and it just went from there
really.
Sosé: I started out making D&B on an old skool Atari flex, now
things have moved on to producing Hip Hop. I met Dave and we started
writing lyrics which brings us to full time SÉ Fire thing that it is
now.
Safesoul: Who
produces the beats?
Mista Fire: Sean (Sosé) produces...... [He is then cut off by
Sosé]
Sosé: Nah nah, we both produce! At the moment they are mostly
mine, it’s only a matter of time before Mista Fire beats get on there!
Safesoul: Who or
what are your main influences?
Mista Fire: Everything! From Rage Against the Machine to Massive
Attack to Task Force.
Sosé: Mos Def and Chemical Dub Theory.
Safesoul: Who do you
feel are running things in Bristol?
Sosé: Sir Plus, Terminal and Bear. KNERS, King George, Bugsy, KHK,
Afro Saxon, First Degree Burns, Dutty Girl... [the list goes on]
Mista Fire: In Bristol there’s this big link up thing where
everyone just helps everyone out, its a good thing.
