Wolftown rumbles on into '01 with a lot more records planned for the year ahead including at least 2 LPs. Rago is their promotional tool designed as a zine, and it's free so you can forgive their blatent self promotion throughout and at least it gives an insight into where the label and artists are coming from. So alongside the Villains and Vicious Circle feature/adverts there's stuff on DFXO, Moorish Delta 7, Kool Keith, Masterminds, Reachout and The Extremists as well as brief news, single and album reviews.
They're obviously working on a tight budget so it's impressive to see this copy with a colour front (even if it is the Villains LP cover). The editing leaves something to be desired with some dodgy word processing leftovers throughout (whats all this HYPERLINK stuff?) and the fact that most of the zine is quite a bit out of date (like such and such will be released in October 2000). The final gripe is that they don't list ukhh in their 'websites to check' section. But fuck it, i'm picking faults. If your head gets mashed from reading too much shit on a PC and you want something to read on the bus then find a copy of Rago...it probably makes a lot more sense than HHC
