The second EP called "Finalisation" from Champions of Nature (C.O.N. Artists) - is a slightly shorter ting compared to the Fuck Off EP. But thats not to say you aint getting mad value - three vocals n' three instrumentals. Blimey. The first cut - Finalisation - well its a total stormer....be warned you will lose limbs if played at a big enough volume in a room thats rammed. The L Dolo beat is quite cinematic - giving you pictures of the five (YUP FIVE) emcees heading posse style across the plains of errrrm errrrm yeah right ... errrr plains of East London right. Anyways so the strings evaporate along n' loop - again they give Supa T the first verse to good effect as his kills it with speed n' venomous flow "Not battle rhymes to talk about science and nature...youse sit quiet enough as I stick your lips up with a stapler". Apollo takes the second verse nicely which leads straight into Jehst who completely canes it talking "his jargon thats far out like a martian" - line after line. By now your ears are burning - the track takes a new MC - Profound - the tempo is there and maintained cos all the MC's smash it without pause between themselves. To finish off this team tag track - Lewis Parker flows about the teaching of Zen n' new mindstates - completely overwhelming. This is a massive posse cut - as and Jehst put it - "A Murderous Concerto". QUALITY!!!! Why aint this on the fucking radio???? HUH? Track of the year - end of it. Next up "Cold Desert" n' straight into it - cos - a Lewis Parker bouncy break with some nice funk in the sporadic bass splutter runs out the speakers. The track has sweeping strings which give the track a lot of body n' weight. Profound takes the mic on and his lyrics are sometimes easily heard but other times it can be lost - dunno why I feel that. There is no doubt he has real skills n' a good regulated disciplined flow with concious clever lyrics....but sometimes the clarity isnt there. This might sound negative but it aint - I really like the track nuff - theres nothing wrong at all - I'm just describing what boom busts my speakers. Compared to what else gets thrust in the hiphop marketplace this is relatively up there with the fuckin cure to BSE nahmean. Lastly we get some more of AM n' Jehst on an L Dolo produced track - Breakfast of Champions. Fuck knows what it is they munch for breakfast but its gotta be a dictionary - "The big issue is my capacity to tackle my tenacity, recognise and release thoughts stereotypically kick in the door....in the meantime dont text message me for more rhymes". The production is a dinky little plucked string affair - not much bass in the brew but a sharp snare - with a little bit of cutting through the chorus. The AM verse is very nice and easily intelligible n' got good complex rhymes which arent always linking together at the end of each beat. Jehst comes in and does what he does although in a short verse - if you dont know what Jehst does by now well I'm not gettin into it - Back to hiphop school for you. A very good good second EP....I was feeling the first track A LOT. Perhaps not as consistently a "Shit I gotta pick the front teeth off the floor" inducing as the first EP - but definitely a must acquire thing for your wax box. Get your torch out and go dig deep to get a copy - trust me.
