The Y'N'R kingpin Evil Ed has been building beats for donkeys years now (fact: Ed produced toons for Silver bullet before 'bring forth' and '20 seconds').
He produced one of my all time fave EPs back in 19sometime under the name 'Hidden Identity' .
But now he's cut out some drum patterns and made some tailor made toons for his own EPs - 'The Tournament'. 'Dangerous Situation' stars Usman and Tommy Evans and shows the pure strength and talent of these two Y'n'R soldiers, the loop will make your head bop like a cheap hooker and Mr Eddie Scratch rubs the wax like a nympho strums herself.
Next is the 'Tournament' with the almighty Task Force, the double edged tongues of the Mc Bain Brothers storm over the beats served up the evil one. I already class this as one of my all time favourite British hip hop tracks and again Eddie Scratch leaves the needle itching.
Last track 'Alien' features the space b-boy Jehst, the laid back beat and Jehst's trademark smooth flow make this a mutiflavored EPs that could be a contender in the best release of the year.
