Their back… with some solo releases behind them, Social Misfits have come together to do an EP which is a taster for the LP that’s coming soon. So does is look good for the forthcoming release? Well the first track is a posse cut called ‘Roll With The Misfit Souls’ of which the EP has two versions, the first version has superior production but both have a huge array of MC’s. All MC’s hold the Mic down with strength and drop some killer lines, even the bloke who raps in some other Language (Not sure, kinda French) sounds crisp. ‘One Of Them Nights’ by Shiesty Da Gypsy is a nice little party theme about getting down back in the day, funky track with nice production and playful lyrics, Shiesty really does keep the mood nice on this one. The next track is again Shiesty but it also features Juicy of Da Essence, ‘Live Your Life’ is a blinding track, very tasty production handled by Sir Prestige (As is the rest of the EP) with words that fit the vibe. But what else does it need, well a chorus sung by Estelle you fool, This is the nicest groove on the EP. ‘Just To Many’ shows just how much Da Essence have improved since their solo album. Finally the recent signings Stone Circle on ‘Hip-Hop: Something You Feel’. Very nice lyrics about rebuilding hiphop and taking it back, however the production is too simple for my liking on this one, not crap but just not a lot going on. It certainly looks rosy for the LP, which you should look forward to. If you can’t wait however, hunt this down, tis not bad.
