We all know, or at least should know what Kela is capable of live, its something that everyone needs to see. As of yet however the boy hasn’t come out too well on wax, so now he has the second record out in the series to prove everyone wrong. As soon as you put track one on, its evident Kela’s happy to stick two fingers up to the hiphop community and just do his own thing. “Cropcircles” feat. Sonar Circle is a junglist affair. Quite how much of the beat you can hear is Kela I’m not sure, but there’s some mad noises going on without a doubt. It’s certainly impressive, but it does drag on for a bit, and I find myself getting a bit annoyed and flipping onto track two after about one minute. The Vadim remix of the track is rather sketchy, but worth a listen too. Track two “Accakela” feat. Lee Ramsey & Scorzayzee is without a doubt the hiphop track, and the highlight of the two tracks for me. The Nott’s rapping duo do a very good job, Scorzayzee continues to impress me more and more every time I hear him, and Ramsey also seems to better himself on every outing now! As for Kela, yup that’s him doing all of it, and its very damn clever. I did doubt Kela’s ability to come out well on wax, but this proves he can. Next time (Hopefully there will be) they may turn up the Kela levels a little more though! You can’t hear him enough, plus maybe a little more treble business from Kela’s mouthpiece would be nice. Still, it’s a proper nice record to own, plus you can sit your parents/girlfriend down and try convince them that is all him doing that…
