The Sterling breaks series spans across two pieces of wax. These records are coming from a mysterious cloud steppin origin to give us the darkest breaks without silly things like copyright getting in the way. I only have the first record which is perhaps a measure of their availability - anyways. The tracks are obscure and come with the essential elements of beauty - basslines n' beats. This highlights some really dark cuts. I'm personally feeling Weather Report - Mysterious Traveller, The Halfcrown intro, Ramsey Lewis - Tambara, and Ian Lynn on the wired out Sundance. But whatever your personal taste - on this wax or on the other in the series there is certain to be a cut to hit the spot somewhere in your cranium. And perhaps find a reaction even you never expected? Cos' do you think these beat diggers thought they would be obsessed with little wax discs when they were yutes - nah mate.... watch yourself or your gonna get handled an addiction for breaks. Watch it cos it will be your sterling getting handed over and over and over for sure.
