Pedigree Chumps Up Norf Hip Hop Edz LP

This CD was sent to me by Mr CRF. Or was it Noz? I really can’t remember?
Anyway, I was looking forward to checking this as I’d heard a lot of positive feedback from different people from all over the UK.

What’s the best way to explain this? Comedy springs to mind. It’s a journey through the weird and warped minds of Noz and CRF, and their journey’s into what only seems like a comic Twilight Zone type of world.

With tracks like The Anthem, where both emcees speak about life as a Pedigree Chump and their lives living in Manchester. Going to the pub, getting drunk, chatting up barmaids, getting pissed on….you know, all the normal things people do, daily, yeh right!

Track 2 – Prolific Thoughts – features my boy Stereo Type, a young Edinburgh producer. He provides the cuts and he provides them well. Again, Noz and CRF bring the comedy…..non stop.

This is actually the first time I’ve anticipated a UK Hip Hop act’s next release since Task Force’s New Mic Order. Not only that, but it’s the first time in ages that I’ve had a UK act’s album that I can listen to over and over again without getting piss bored over them rapping about how good they are, or how hard done by they are, how life is so hard trying to get noticed in the UK……BOLLOCKS!!
Your music is what you make it. Make good records – positive records – and people will take notice.

This is a breath of fresh air to the UK scene, a good step in the right direction. They don’t take themselves serious and neither should we. It’s all about having fun on this LP.

Let’s all get silly and dance like fools at parties. I’m sure the Pedigree Chumps do.
