Fleapit Music From The Ditch LP

SFDB have been one of the most consistent record labels of late, with numerous 12"s winning 'Single of the month' in publications. We at ukhh.com have to watched their steps very carefully. Still, its hard to judge Fleapit's talent, and SFDB's ability to put out good music, with only 12"'s to go on. Now we are given a twelve tracker LP from their camp, but does it hit the spot? Frankly, it doesn't only hit the spot, it batters it man. This LP has some of the twelve freshest, original and enjoyable tracks I've heard this year for sure. There's so many quality tracks on here, whether it's the lead single 'Fleastyle' with its happy -go-lucky sound, or 'Live From The Valley Of The Gwangi' featuring the lyrical delights of The Aspects. It has so many different styles too, Junior Disprol can rhyme on so many levels. One minute he'll be chatting some sensible shit, like on 'Event Horizon', then he'll be going lyrically mentally on 'Greyskull Takeover Bid'. One very talented individual, and with all his split personalities you get like 30 rappers for the price of one… sorted. Secondson produces some of the sickest beats your going to hear for a minute. The beautifully dark 'Henshin Cyborg' shows a more sinister side to the man behind the boards. But just when you think he's going dark on you, the next track samples some nice deep break on 'Beast Street'. Alls that's left is for Uppacut to scratch when he's needed, adding the final layer to the three man band. Add all three members together, sprinkle with some well picked quest appearances and you've got one beast of an album. Between Fleapit and The Aspects, you could have a back-to-back LP session that would entertain you for days. This LP will take you on a wicked musical journey, so don't miss the bus you heard.
