 Steve Lazaridis Outsiders book

A collection of modern artwork by various artists curated by Banksy's manager. The works featured have a strong social / political commentary aspect. Similar works by Banksy are now so mainstream that they are featured on newspaper front pages (something that few artists at any point in modern history can claim).

It features indoor / outdoor work by big names such as 3D (Massive Attack), the society portraitist Jonathan Yeo as well as many emerging 'edgy' artists.

I think calling these artists 'Outsiders' is going too far - a few of them are 'mainstream' and most of them must be earning a living as full time artists. I found this book quite inspirational - it shows that the focus of the art world is maybe moving away from 'Britart' to something else with a little more substance. Another counter cultural product brought to you by Rupert Murdoch.
