DJ Detriment CCTV (uk hiphop) (mixtape) okay i got this mixtape for free off the man dj detriment, and u can too, because this is a free mixtape. yes FREE! for all the uk hiphop heads. 90 minutes of dope uk flavour. so banging it actually does bang in your face with the hottest joints on the streets as the comedy westwood intro suggests (funny). all u have to do to get this tape is send a blank 90 minute tape to the address at the end of this review, and remember to include your address.. obviously :) so yeah, the tracklisting is such a nice line-up it would be impossible to go wrong. but detriments turntable skills make this tape just mint, all nicely mixed, all full tracks and a nice balance of scratching n cuts on the intro n outros to the 2 sides. this is how i prefer my mixtapes, without crazy amounts of scratching and backspinning and general musical fuckeries like sum people churn out. too much fucking around i reckon. but not on cctv there int, detriment serves it nicely and gives u the nicest tracks. without spieling off the whole tracklisting, the joints that blatantly bang in my face are the evil ed n task force track off the tournament ep, rodney p - big tings, blak twang - u know, microdisiacs - full force, jehst n lexis - life imitating art (for anyone who hasnt heard that track there is an extra incentive to get yourself a copy. amazing track as im sure u have heard). yeah we also have doyen d (c.u.n.t), junior disprol (junq waffle), ty, lewis parker (planets & also portraits ft. a-cyde), braintax, bti, tommy evans, ty, more task force & jehst (1979.. nice) daddy jae, harry love, hbba affiliates (nice track u wont have heard with detriment himself on the cuts). err yeah ive probably mentioned nearly every artist on there.. well.. except skitz. cos on this tape we have fingerprints of the gods. nice track. and then the tape ends on side 2 with a proper proper NICE dj detriment remix of twilight of the gods. mmm its fuckin well sick. the four verses off the original all slapped onto different beats, pure niceness it has to be said its fuckin well nice it flows perfectly and im liking the choice of beats here more than the beats on the original track. the vocals are nicely cut up and cued onto the beats at the beginning of each verse. sick. just listen to skinnymans verse on the champions of nature beat from the fuck off song. oohhhhhhhh yeah. that kills it.. so yeah, mega props to dj detriment representin in leeds and cheers for the tape mate its sick. nice one. yo everyone, its FREE so send your blank 90 minute tapes and your address to this address, and receive this wicked tape (with a nice cover aswell if u are lucky)..
