Dashiell ft PEACE, Rasco, Tre & Kirby Dominant What's Life... 7" Up and coming US producer Dashiell drops his second 7” this year, once more bringing with him some heavy mic talent, in the shape of P.E.A.C.E, Rasco (Cali Agents), Tre (Pharcyde) and Kirby Dominant. As with his first offering, the beat Dashiell serves up is very tasty, mixing tinges of electronic sounds and samples with warmer tones and sounds. Well placed edits and flips keep things interesting as the MCs drop their verses, with Rasco and P.E.A.C.E coming out the strongest of the lot. Overall though this has the sound of a nicely produced posse cut that should please most and would work a treat on any dancefloor. The only drawback for me on this one is the slight overuse of claps in certain parts of the beat, but that works for some. Definitely one to pick up if you’re not familiar with this guy’s work or are a fan of the MCs. And while you’re at it go and check his first release too (link below).
