Shabaam Sahdeeq’s ability to create simply enjoyable songs is equalled by few, and this 12" is no exception. Whilst not likely to win any awards for technical brilliance, the thumping hook and beats on "Are you Ready" combine to create a menacing backdrop for Shabaam to launch a scathing attack on all the "idiotic" rappers out there. "Concrete" featuring the flows of Xzibit is a little disappointing, if only because of the strength of the A side. Nevertheless this is certainly worthy of inspection.
