People Under The Stairs have a nice flow with some good lyrical content
- couple that with very tight production with a laid back style but
with deep hooks and you have (hey presto) a release with proper head
nod prowess. The tracks run into each other with a nice tightness n'
super cutting and the album as a unit works wicked. As usual - I like
some tracks heavily (Hardcore, The Next Step II, Ten Tough Guys) and
not others with as much gusto (Death of a Salesman, Slow Bullet -
although its still blinding...actually yeah it is...) but I can't argue
with myself that as a debut release this crew have got amazing
potential - as this record has a lot of class and errrm (damn I can't
think of a better word for the mo') maturity bashed all over it. Nice
usage of proper dollops of bass make this an easy n' sweet treat to
swallow whole. Basically as the outstanding outro track flows "Play it
Again" - and indeed I have played it over again and analysed it - and
my Doctoral prognosis.....most TASTY indeed thanks! Glad they sold
their sound equipment to press up these LP's. Blinding. Oh yeah PUTS
- its a funny mock-creepy film n' all!
