I hate DeeJay instrumental albums, I always have done. They miss out a massive part of the music, i.e the Emcees. They just seem to go and an on and all the listener is waiting for is the Emcee to drop in, right? Wrong, this superb 18 track, that's right count them 18 tracks of sheer brilliance will have the DeeJays cutting over it and the Emcees freestyling to it, the breakers break to it and the graffers, well give me a chance eh!? Put simply, this is the very warm merde. I guess at this stage I should point out its French. Each track has a familiar sample in there, but without sounding cheap. I don't have a favourite as they all rock! Each track is melodic, relaxing, attacking, brain washing, break worthy music. Its full of cuts and scratches and solid bass lines. Quite frankly I'm running off to Gretna Green with this CD and I am going to spend the rest of my days with it in my CD player, well maybe not, but you get the point. |
