Keno 1 & The Hermit Heavy Heavy 7"

The arrival of 'Heavy Heavy' is announced with mighty horn blasts that continue throughout the track and are accompanied by a hard rippling breakbeat and one dirty funky bassline. The variation comes in the rolling drum fills & schizms and not the samples on top. With the help of this frenetic breakbeatsmithery this track moves with a heavy funk, verb-less hip hop energy that builds and builds to.... Essentially you're waiting for the track behind the track...never the less, slip this in a set and it will surely keep the beat heads on the floor happy.

A familiar but pitch-skewed horn sample rips through 'Hardest Rain' on the flip, shaking tambourine brings a ska flava. Again it's instrumental hiphop wih rippling rolls and breaks in the solid beat. A breakdown and false finish mid track keeps it interesting and then the beat drops straight back in...

another quality 7 from the bread crew as we'd expect...
