The first track to be released by Iceberg Slimm, the thought of this new UK MC who is signed to a major was too much for me to take. So I put it in my CD player, and what do I get , KIDS SINGING!! Now call me a hater but Jay Z is not exactly who you want to be copying is it? The very happy style production is not as bad, with a childish type tune that is annoying but doesn’t even come close to the ‘I want to kill some children’ factor hook. The rapping is not bad, nice flow which sounds a way to American, but the choice of lyrics is not good. The first verses lyrics are fair enough, but once you get further into the track he starts mentioning Peter Pan and shit. ‘Nursery Rhymes pt.2’ has better production, same annoying hook with better lyrics, but its still a bit much for the UK hiphop fan to take. I respect the man, cos he got to be the first UK hiphop artist with an enhanced CD. I also understand that this song was done only to get him noticed in the main stream. I’ve heard other tracks by him, and they are much better, lets just hope he doesn’t make another track like this!
