 Defisis/Infinite Livez Ea 12"

This is the first Big Dada single to drop in the post 'Extra Yard' period - is it going to be this 'bouncement' in full effect? Nope. This twelve features two members of the Shadowless crew - 'Defisis' fresh from working with DFXO on SFDB and 'Infinite Livez' who'se debut LP is dropping on Big Dada this coming summer.

The a-side 'Earthtime' is a tense affair - a paranoid sparse bass-driven beat shuffles around whilst Defisis drops mad liquid science in his slightly regional accent. I wont front and say this is one for the clubs - the beat is nothing but an incidental backdrop - this tracks all about the verbals. Defisis has got imagination to burn and this is used to full effect - this track is different, extreme and very original. It takes a while to grow but when you get locked in its a heavy little track made for the thinkers - woodentops need not apply.

The flip 'Emceeme' takes a slightly more musical approach to a similar theme - Infinite Livez drops crazy poetry and mad encrypted linguistics across a jolting stuttering break. The beat rocks along with stabs chopping in and out the mix - this beat doesnt pander to the softer parts of your ears. Lyrically its fresh and quite funny in places - but overall I found it quite inaccessible - with the chrous grating too much.

Overall this is a twelve worth checking if your into deep lyrical-scapes cos both emcee's drop some twisted imagination down the mic cord. I wouldnt have a listen if your looking for deep sub b-lines and goodtime bouncy beats. I preferred the a-side but both could become growers if my head can stand the pressure.
