Infinite Livez and Blufoot Live and Learn 12"

With each Infinite Livez release, the anticipation grows on his forthcoming album “Bush Meat”. Infinite Livez is living up to be one of the best MCs in the scene and his playful sing-songy vocals are put to good use on this double A-side release from talented producer, Blufoot (of the Camshot Records stable.) Over a strong mid-paced beat and sparse wah- guitar and swelling string, Infinite Livez has the space to go through his eccentric, stream of consciousness, random battling and comic musing, “I come from places where white ladies give birth to cinnamon brown babies”. As the chorus swells, Infinite Livez musters up a singing voice only a mother could love to deliver the strong hook “And so we live and learn”. It’s a solid song and the playful interplay of beat and vocals work well together. Second cut from Infinite Livez, “Wassyoorgame” features the vocalist off the other side, Scanky. Starting out with a acoustic guitar chord rhythm, Infinite Livez eventually tears in with his vocal. He and Scanky both deliver strong verses over a nice acoustic beat. This is a good release from a talented producer, showcasing some good sounds tight drums and a knowing eye of emcees. With albums from Infinite Livez and Blufoot both mooted for this new year, it looks like an exciting year for UK hip-hop.
