Another cracking twelve inch from Brighton based Janomi Records. This time the enigmatic Yungun drops some smile inducing verses across some supremely danceable hip hop arrangements courtesy of Ben Grymm. A-side ‘Push’ works the angles with a shuffling break and hoover bassline whilst the flip ‘Spit Fire’ takes a more traditional aggy approach with bigger drums alongside organ/string drops. Overall, Yungun handles vocals with relaxed ease to hand out a lesson in riding two different beats with complete mic control. My favourite track was the charismatic b-side with Kyza’s nice cameo verse n’ chorus couplet – a real grower.
