Runaways Levitation featuring Cyclops 4000 12" Hmmmmmm this comes in my top ten of records I have ever owned ever - hmmm did I mention EVER? I think so! The 12 has a bonus beats track n' the album mix of Levitation. But for me the reason this 12 is so so so so wicked is the Levitation remix featuring the Cyclops 4000 Allstars (courtesy of Rawkus fame!). Although this features an outstanding US emcee - it is a strictly UK release from the beats side of matters cos it comes "LIVE from FINNSBURY PARK!!". Cyclops 4000 introduces himself during the stringed intro to the track - this is where things take the twist. He basically plays about five different characters during the track - a posse cut unto himself....blinding! He migrates between languages (Spanish n' English), rhyme style, flow diction n' subject matter with seriously smooth transition. With characters such as Scaramanga Shallaah alongside Chewbacca Uncircumcised spitting tight lyrics it might seem like any beat would do - but to their credit the Runaways produce a nice underbeat canvas for the madness to unfold.
