 Micall Parknsun So What 12"

‘So What’ is the first 12” to be taken from the storming debut LP from Micall Parknsun and it’s one that is sure to draw plenty of people into his fan base. With a catchy hook and smooth grinding beat, this deserves to be getting regular air and club play due to the mass appeal it offers. In addition to that, the mans rhyming ability is something that will satisfy the more ‘underground’ heads, even if the message of “so what you wanna here something fake or real, so I ain’t playing games, I’m trying to pay the bills” may upset a few aggy purists.

If that is the case, then all they need do is turn over, for a slice of hiphop genius in ‘I Don’t Wanna Stay Here’. Not as radio friendly as the A-side, but in many ways more solid, this emotional tale of how he wants to get his wife and kid out of where they are living is a sure fire winner. In addition to the rhymes, singer D.Ablo adds some real soul with his vocal hook. Put blunt, this 12” should sit in most people’s collection without any fuss and it’s a great release for the winding down of 2005.
