Binary Brothers Binary Exponents Volume 2 12"

This is a sci-fi kinda cyber take upon hip-hop from the Binary Brothers as they again get some Bristol mates round to make a rekkid. Its all a bit wierd and definitely will have to take a proper open mind to check underneath the sounds being created - if ya can be bothered. The a-side 'Outlands' features Aspects and DJ Beanz and is definitely a quite raw tune, quite different to any of the cuts off of the blindin' first EP but still it is a move (forwards? - dunno) and develops a sound in an original way. The flip is more listenable (in a easy lazy way) and grabs Thaw n' Jay La Surgeon (both from Numskullz) for some floor filling action with kettle drums(?) and guitar snippets. I don't really think the vocals are super supa kooper trooper - nuff said from me on that matter cos I'm no lyricist. Overall - not what you might have expected after the first EP but worth a listen in the long term scenario and still highly creative. I'm quite undecided so ask my mate via the link below - the names Frank.
