Mr. Ti2bs Keep It Moving 12"
Chasing up the superb ‘Inner City Rap’, Mr. Ti2bs try’s to keep the interest going with ‘Keeping It Moving’. To follow up one of the tunes of the year is always going to be a big ask, but obviously Ti2bs isn’t prepared to rest on his laurels.
One of the hottest producers at the moment, Baby J positions himself behind the board for this one and comes up with something totally different to his usual work. The utempo ‘Keeping It Moving’ sounds real grimey with a sample which sounds like a metal pipe being hammered being used as a snare and rolling fuzz-bass tones undercutting the track. Ti2bs doesn’t do his best work over the beat as at times he sounds a little basic, but he carries the tune along. The b-side ‘Adrenaline’ is an interesting sound, almost Grindie if you want a label and with the lyrics chatting about happy slapping and other general rowdiness, this tracks got more energy than a nuclear power station.
Neither track touches his last single, but that’s nothing to worry about as ‘Keeping It Moving’ and ‘Adrenaline’ are both capable of raising pulses and getting bashments started. Boding very nicely for Mr. Ti2bs album!
