 Ca$hino Salute 12"

First on the single is Salute which incorporates an M.O.P sample. Not another pseudo American wanna be gangsta rapper determined to show us how hard he is. Funny enough he is not very convincing at all. The beat isn’t saying much and neither are the lyrics. Mind you one does stand out above the others, ‘Cross you out like Kris-Kross.’ For the wrong reasons of course.

The next track is Powermoves 2. I was expecting better as I didn’t mind part 1 but the instrumental for this sequel is just plain wrong. The chorus sounds like the producer just flung a sample and hoped we wouldn’t notice (listen to it and you’ll understand what I mean). Cashino is a lot stronger but the instrumental is not doing him any favours. The album is due this March but from this promo I will not be rushing out to buy a copy. I am afraid it is another CD to go into my “its shit but I’ll buy and support it cos it’s British” pile.
