Shameless feat. Bruza Shame On You 12"
Not being a huge fan of all things grime, or at least that end of the scale, I find a good lyricist needs to bring the track up for me. Actually scratch that, a great lyricist. I’m well versed with the works of Shameless and an admirer of his skills, especially at high speed. On “Shame On You”, indeed very much a high tempo, high energy track, the man doesn’t disappoint. A hailstorm of impressively strong lyrics burst out of this record, with contribution from the scene familiar Bruza, lead man of Aftershock.
Bruza’s hook is great, Shameless delivers stinging raps that hit every beat fast and sharp, and the track…almost caught me. But not quite. I’ve listened to similar and liked it, but this unfortunately was a little messy, lacking a crisp sound that could really make this a huge banger. Nevertheless, that can always can be a matter of opinion given this isn’t exactly my kinda thing.
The single is the big offering serving to promote the next big compilation to touch down, Aftershock‘s very own Terror Danjah and “Food 4Da Brain - 2nd serving”. Following the widely lauded “Food 4Da Brain” EP, Shameless will be joining the high-ranks of names that include Skinnyman, Supernovar, Terra Firma, MCD and more. The single is out now and the compilation is dropping this Autumn, and is sure to be hot.
