‘Pervert’ is a truly charm-less song by the ‘virtual artist’, Mr Me Innit. The press guff describes the single as ‘a blunt no nonsense, tongue in cheek commentary on his (Mr Me Innit) sexual fantasies, all in a lyrically witty ‘Professor Green’ kind of way’. So the warning signs are there when a pretty average rapper such as Green is used as a point of reference.
The production is a basic two-step drumbeat looped, the rapping is hideous in both its cadence and subject area while the chorus is truly grating. Its only redeeming feature is the accompanying video, with its Roy Lichtenstein on Viagra imagery.
