I'm still not sure about this whole 'Bronx' thing that regularly crops up in the Notts based Big Daddy but you can't fault the tunes it's generating. The P Brothers, Paul S & Ivory, embrace more of the Nottingham scene on this EP than their former one. Cappo, Scorsayzee, Mr 45 and Lee Ramsay all feature and from the offset it's obvious why their residency at Madame JoJos is called 'Loud Drums' - these productions are heavy! 3 main tracks with instrumental versions plus a couple of skits and interlude things give good value for money. Big Daddy regulars will have already embraced Cappo's 'Nottingham Bronx' but the other two cuts are equally rocking, '3 Kings' which shows Notts (relative) new kids Cappo & Scorsayzee more than hold their own against Notts legend Mr 45 over a fat simple effective bass rumble and 'Rock The City' with Cappo going off over a funk-laden guitar sample. The Brothers approach seems to be to find simple loops of absolute quality and then let the MC do the talking. Top stuff once again.
