'Microphone DON' is Krispy's 2nd release on Bomb Records, a US label taking a real interest in worldwide hip-hop which is a good sign. Krispy keep putting out excellent 12"s, but when are we going to get an album out of them? It's about time... Anyway - this 12" - the B side for me is the stronger of the tracks, with a nice remix of it too. Talking about how hard it is for the indie-vidual to break through in the biz, this track rolls along over excellent, typically Krispy, beats. The A side has the flow just as on-point, but I'm less keen on the beats. I could do without the singing in the chorus too. Another excellent 12" though - even a slightly off Krispy track is wicked after all!
