 Livesciences  Heavens Mirror (12")

Based in Edinburgh, the Livesciences are a crew of Emcees, Deejays, Producers, Graff Artists and Musicians. Consisting of artists such as Scotland Yard, Incorpareal, BenOfficial, Plus One, DJ Extra, Nasty P, B-Burg, Vigilante, Steve Christie (the list goes on I'm sure?) Livesciences are here to stay.

Edinburgh Hip Hop is fast becoming a major player in this Hip Hop shit, with artists collaborating with heads from all over the globe, and the Livesciences are only adding to its credibility. Heavens Mirror is a 12" I urge you all to check.

Heavens Mirror opens up with, wait for it........'Heavens Mirror', a track featuring Profisee (Scotland Yard) with Plus One on the cuts. This is a tune I can lie back and take my mind on a journey far away. Profisee (as always) tears it up, without trying he comes across equally as nice as the beat (courtesy of BenOfficial) both complimenting each other as if they were butter on toast.

'Cogito Ergo Sum' is the next track, featuring Necarus (Scotland Yard) and B-Burg on the guitar. This tune is much the same as the first (wait, let me rephrase that) what I mean is, they are both deep, thought provoking, chilled and lyrically and production wise, proper nice (pheeeewww, got myself out of that one I think?)

I must say though, I'm feeling this tune more than the first (production wise) Benofficial has really conjured up something special here.

On the B side, the first track is 'Purple Zones' featuring E-Hybrid (again, Scotland Yard) with Nasty P on the cuts. Purple Zones has a mad, abstract, mind twisting, brain juggling flow. E-Hybrid is one of these emcees who could 'rap what the fuck he liked and still sound nice on the mic' (here that could make a nice line in a rhyme) This tune works. Nasty P fucks it up with some amazing cuts, he's definitely a name to look out for.

The final track (Viewpoints) is a mad drum and bass tune. Now I'm not clued up on drum and bass at all but I do like this (a lot). Again, it's a BenOfficial tune, but has been remixed by Vigilante. Quality track, or as we say in Edinburgh "Healthy!"
