 Respect BA Rapid Fire (demo)

Respect BA? Many of you may not have even heard of him to respect him, but trust he is a young Scot’s Emcee who if there is a god in heaven you will be hearing of him the future. BA is making a bit of noise over in the East Coast of Scotland and by the strength of his last Demo, no wonder.

His voice booms energy years ahead of his birth certificate and the delivery is spot on. He never over does a verse and always leaves enough air in his lungs to attack the last letter. I have to say to be honest though that the actual tunes don’t get me as his lyrics do. The tunes aint what I am accustomed to, but that aint a bad thing as you expect Eminem to appear somewhere in the tune. Dr Dre has made millions of Dollars of these type of beats and it would be good to see Respect BGA make a few quid out of his.

Rapid Fire starts off the demo with fire blazing lyrics and clearly lays the land so anyone knows to not step on his toes. His actual accent is spot on and nowhere does he falter off his own voice and move into an American vibe, as so many Demos tend to do.

Anything you can do is a parody of the old I can do better than you can track. On this track he spits over a remixed vibe against an American Emcee who drops merde hot lyrics. This would be superb to see live on stage and I am surprised I aint seen this guy live anyway! Respect BA shows his skills here that not only can he flow himself but he can also let rip alongside anyone and battle with any adversary.

The last track on the demo is a reminiscent track and a life biography. The beat plays along nicely in the back with a skat trumpet pining in the background for a better day. The harder hedz may not like this track but it is a track none the less that needed to be done and needed to let BA get a few things off his chest. Strength and struggling is what life is all about and BA has captured it well in this track.

His next task though is to keep his feet firmly on the floor and if he can do this we could see a well-accomplished artist. He may also need to look at raising a middle finger to everyone in a business sense also and look to put out and promote his own stuff. This way he will have full control and he can go about things in his own way. In a world where you need to do a lot for yourself as there is a lot to be learned, Respect BA could come out of the other side with more than just respect.
