DFXO are one hard working bunch, consisting of Xeno and Defisis. They have been around for a while and this is their second demo, and trust the first time you hear it you wonder why the UK scene hasn’t had them signed long ago. The first track ‘The Undakroft’ has some serious dark production by Xeno. The beats are deep with a piano loop which sets a nice atmosphere, well maybe not nice more scary. The lyrics are blatantly tight from the start, with no let up. I’m seriously feeling this track, but the fact is that all tracks match up. ‘One Mil’ has fairly plain production but the rapping is superb, its not your average hiphop track. No aim to impress the un-schooled head, its full mic eating by Defisis, I can’t get over how he keeps up the flow in such strength throughout this track. ‘What The F!’ has a real nice piano/Spanish guitar loop in it, with beats that need a big bass tube. But it’s the way the track is always switching up that I love, never staying the same unlike to many tracks at the mo’. I don’t really need to mention the lyrics anymore do I? Well needless to say they are mad tight! ‘God Damn It’ is some more laid back production with lyrics by both Xeno and Defisis, again tight track, but not the best on the demo. Now ‘3 Sixty’ is by far my favorite track on this, the production is so smooth. You can really hear how well layered this track is, all the production fits like a jigsaw and god it sounds tight. The lyrics add the final superb layer to this track, to be honest I wouldn’t ask anymore from a hiphop track never mind a fucking demo track. ‘Clash Titans’ now this track does freak me out a bit, I first heard it driving back from my girls house after one of them horror film binges, so every time I hear this It kinda freaks me out, but its still a nice track. I do like the lyrics loads on this mind, but that real long deep beat in the background just freaks me out, but I’m a pansy I guess. Well I can honestly say, very few demos I’ve heard have I enjoyed as much as this. It really is a piece of work you gotta get, which is possible if you get in contact with xeno, via Email : x3n@netscape.net or phone : 07788 665 332. Believe once you have heard this you will wonder why they aren’t signed cos heads need to buy this.
