In true traveller style my entourage and I left Glasgow in good time. An hour’s journey down the M8 turned into a nightmare and at 1 o’clock in the morning I was in Edinburgh. “Have I missed it?” Was the question going round in my head. To my surprise it aint even started. There was queue outside which stretched up the road and up two flights of stairs! Well I waited and waited…in the cold then thought “bugger this I’m on the guest list what am I doing standing here!” So my apologies to those in the queue that I barged past but hey! I don’t know you either! Where as I’m saner than a Buddhist with a modem and you are just highly strung in a one in, one out situation! Once down the front in an absolutely mobbed club I took up my position and I aint gonna lose it! At this stage Braintax took to the stage after a fine display of Turntablism from Harry Love. At this stage can I say a huge FUCK OFF to the ASSHOLES who were sitting on the stage! Where you not aware that that was THE Braintax on the stage behind your nasty back! Braintax looked slightly concerned which was hindered by shouts from a happy Edinburgh crowd, who Braintax struggled to hear what they were saying and began to think that the crowd were heckling him. This was not the case. On several occasions the crowd shouted out requests in which Braintax replied “Oh do we have Emcees in here, you wanna battle? You are all just jealous”. Low Lifes new addition Mistro (I think that is how it is spelt, I was told…sorry! Anyway, yes he came on with Braintax for what I thought was just there to do drop ins but he attacked the beats and rode the snare, boy that guy was tight, he played some of his new shit which was theeee shit so keep your eyes peeled for when that comes out. Then before you could say ..Braintax run tings!… it was over. There was an open mic in which several of them were rather good but that’s all I’m saying as most of them were the Trespassers on the stage at the beginning of the night! Apart from all that Red6 needs a beeeeeeeeeeeg up for a night tighter than a tie that your granny put on you in primary school. Big up Red6 and Big up Reachout for welcoming me back to Edinburgh.
