Tricksta UK Runnings Vol 1 LP
Mix tapes are a constant source of hearing the unheard and the always heard all in one little compact cassette, times are a changing though and so is technology. Tricksta (who was part of UKHH.com’s Hardest working men in UK Hip Hop series) has again out done himself by bringing a quality line up from all over the UK on one little CD, at the princely sum of only £5! Is it any good? Well I will leave you to decide.
UK Runnings Volume One boasts no more than 33, count em, 33 skits and tracks from London to Glasgow. With names like Skinnyman, Late, Skeme, Braintax, Eastborn, Social Misfits, Moorish Delta 7, 57TH Dynasty, Café Recordings, Jehst, Fugazi Crew, Vicious Circle, Villains and a whole belly full more.
For me personally, I liked the viewpoint the CD created, it gives you a somewhat live DeeJay mix and if you liked Disorda’s UK Hustlerz then you will feel this like a drunk women’s arse when she bends down to pick up her change from the taxi driver on a late Saturday night (sorry people, getting off the subject).OK so there are a few tracks on there I ain’t really into but on the whole I like this and well for a deep sea diver, you cant go wrong can you.
