 Cappo Spaz The World LP

Excellent debut LP packed with grimy production and razor sharp lyricism. An LP that sits together snugly with a noticeable lack of weak fillers - standout tracks include the stealthy funk of ‘Cirque de Clowns’, the rolling hypnotic headnod potential of ‘Watership Down’, and the analogue stab driven ‘Gloves Off’. At times some of the drums get a bit too textured for my overly manicured tastebuds but the use of embedded hooks and catchy minimalist choruses ensures every track has a listenable edge. Overall, an undoubted talent who’s generated a real quality product through a combination of punchy verbal interplay and murky beats. A killer debut.
