2tall Loose Ends for Divination / Gristle LP

The tallest man in scratching (a claim still awaiting trademark) is back with a very tasty double CD pack on the forward thinking, London based EB label. Following from his album earlier on this year, 2tall drops a double mix pack showcasing all the sides of his talented personality. ‘Loose ends’ puts forward a studio mix of the man’s own work, with 4 remixes, 2 new productions, skits and some live work, all unreleased. Amongst these you’ll definitely want to check out for the hard-hitting ‘Nude Paper’ remix of Beans, the Perceptionists’ ‘Blo’ getting a heavy electro reworking, the tasty ‘Hourglass’ and the unreleased ‘February’, both of which take their cue from 2tall’s recent album showcasing his unique production style and cutting skills. The 30 minutes roll by smoothly, nicely alternating between hip hop and electro vibes and with some really lovely skits that tie everything together and keep the flow rolling along.
On the second CD you’ll find ‘Gristle’, a live DJ mix of some of 2tall’s favourite tracks from the last year alongside a few classics, all put together in the same smooth style as ‘Loose Ends’. Now it’s not often you get such good deals in shops (barely more than a fiver for 2 CDs), and this is one you’re gonna want to check out for next time you’re out. If you’re a fan already then you’ll definitely want to get your hands on this, and if not it’s time to get familiar with one of the nicest man in the UK right now, and find out exactly what you’ve been missing.
