Rory Hoy Cosmic Child LP Straight out of Knaresborough, Yorks and released on Freddy Fresh's U.S label this is a promising debut from a young renaissance man. Backstory is not a factor that usually is salient but 20 year old Mr Hoy has a diagnosis of autism and is a prolific filmaker as well! It's a mixture of funky and housey 'chilled' breakbeats and to me this record is missing vocals in a big way (I'm sure Mr Hoy has some stories to tell) but still can be appreciated as background music.
