An important book by ‘Tookie’, the co-founder of the LA street gang the Crips. He was convicted for the murder or four people in 1981. In this book Williams tells his own bloody story. His efforts to teach young people about the dangers of joining street gangs earned him a Nobel Peace Prize nomination and a stay of execution on death row. He was executed late 2005.
