 DJ Pager Evolution @ 33 1/3 Pt. 2 (mixtape)

This is a nicely compiled mix - straight from the opening bar celebrity shouts right through to the final looped scratched outro. Pager cuts up the tracks with ease and precision - nothing over dramatic or unneccesarily fancy - just good simple hiphop scratch mixing which sounds tight and keeps the rhythm moving. There are some excellent segways between tracks and these really keep the ears interested - this aint a mix you catch all the elements first time around. Stretching across approximately twenty tracks - the mix rips a balance between UK and US joints. Highlights include Non-Phixion's pumping 'If you got love', Taskforce's oriental vibed 'Something to feel', Harmonic 33's tidy instrumental 'Moompoh', and these sit alongside cuts from Jehst, Richochet Klashnekoff, Defari, etc. The vibe of the mix is strictly uptempo - mostly hitting the headnod nerve but occasionally giving lighter moments of skill and track selection.

Overall, this is sixty good minutes of music - check it cos I cant fault it for value. Email the man for your copy on scottbaker01@hotmail.com.
