Secondson & Hostyle Say Wah Bliggerz? (mixtape) Yet another breaks and funk CD? Yep, pretty much, but if your in the mood for yet another breaks and funk CD this will hit the spot for sure. On the back of this CD it says ‘Released purely to show off our esteemed record collection’, and show off their collection it does. I won’t lie and say I know loads and loads about breaks, but I’ve heard a fair few, and these don’t ring any bells. So you won’t find yourself hearing ‘The Mexian’ and ‘Apache’ being blended together. Instead this is more likely to be a refreshing learning curve. The mixing is nice and smooth, with a fairly no frills approach but never the less it does the job. The scratching is also impressive, but it is overused in some places, with transforms of battle weapons getting a little dull by the end. Still there are some bare quality, funky tunes to be listening to. Absolutely ideal for the bboy, the wax anorak or just someone who appreciates the goodness. A really interesting little piece this, which may drive you crate digging mad as none of the tracks are titled for you, but enjoyable nevertheless.
