Swift has been putting in work over the last couple of years, and after the underground release of his first mixtape ‘The Induction’ I was very interested where he was at in 2006. Well he has improved heaps and bounds from his impressive debut and now hopefully this release will finally get him the recognition he deserves. He has an incredible tight and distinctive flow and vocal delivery, and through this sixteen track mixtape we really get to hear Swift It Major’s thoughts on urban life in the Big Smoke. His style is so creative, a little frantic in parts but always solid. Notable tracks here is the first track ‘Someone Like Major’ which drops nice with a funk drenched beat and up-tempo feel, as well as his amazing ‘Letter P’ freestyle. Infact maybe he is like a UK Saigon but with a twist that is definitely British. Swift It Major has now dropped two mixtapes which have both hit the spot. Surely 2007 should bring us an impressive Swift It Major album. London rap… done well!
