After buying this in a somewhat drunken haze after the last freestyle trial at the Dublin Castle I was interested to know what I had in fact purchased. To be honest I wasn’t at all disappointed with what I had got, in fact I wished I had volume one to compare it to. From the opening spits on ‘Wake Up Sunshine’ all the way through to the simply amazing ‘Y2K FM freestyle’ you know exactly what Teef is repping and where he is coming from. Throughout the production has a funky, bouncy feel which lends itself one to Teefs flow and voice. All in all I’m surprised I haven’t heard a lot more from this guy as the Jig Dilly produced, Malcolm in the Middle sampling, ‘What I Think’ would hold its own next to a lot of the releases from the UK’s big guns. Simply if you haven’t got this check for it and I’m sure we’ll be hearing a whole lot more from the man like Teef.
