From the off as the first sample is dropped and the first few bars are spat you know that you are in for an enjoyable ride. Konn’s cutting and mixing gel’s the whole thing together as Devas and Saynt Luke deftly ride and decimate each track. The two emcee’s seem able to switch styles and topics with the ease of seasoned pro’s, the gems for me being ‘Nothing to Write’, ‘Handle with Care’, ‘Absurd’ and ‘Have You Ever’. It is refreshing to hear an act who can switch styles which such confidence and exude presence on the tracks they bless. Birmingham has some new representation and I’d be very surprised if we don’t see an awful lot more from these boys, plus at twenty one tracks of niceness deep this is one mix tape you NEED to have.
