The drifter returns! And he’s riding into town on a…what…a mengi bus, what the f**k is a ‘mengi’ bus!?! Who knows but I’m guessing it’s not just tobacco being smoked at the back of the bus with a name like that.
Anyway, here we have a little teaser from Huddersfield’s finest emcee-come-producer of not entirely new and exclusive material. But that isn’t the point of mixtapes and as far as mixtapes go this is more than solid effort from Billy Brimstone. Hosted by regular collaborators Sir Smurf Lil and mixed by DJ IQ there are cameo appearances by the likes of Dubbledge, Micall Parknsun, Kashmere, big Stig and Foreign Beggars to name but a few.
IQ’s cut and paste technique keeps things ticking along nicely but it is the Jehst classics in their original form; ‘Nuke Proof Suit’, ‘Psychedelic Phlegm’ and ‘Weed’ that provide the highlights. So grab your Jansport and jump on board for some hydroponic madness.
