Another double A side from Filthy Habits. Masta Killa is on both sides. A features his own “The Day After”, lifted from the “Convexed” compilation, whilst the flip has Timboking with “Armoured Truck” featuring the Killa. Both tracks are strong. Broody strings permeate “The Day After” as Masta Killa describes his own Armageddon as the world erupts around him. His metaphors for the fire of judgement day blazing around him make this a great atmospheric track. “Armoured Truck” is again with the brooding strings, but this time more up tempo and featuring a nice reggae skank low in the mix. Timboking gives his gangster offering to him, talking about robbing and picking up and flogging on, like the most honourable of salesman. Masta Killa pops up on this as well. Dope little release.
