Lush Life No Foundation 12" Multi-instrumentalist extraordinaire Lush Life comes from a musical background the likes of which make this debut single something of a surprise. A classically trained pianist, jazz drummer and all round musical prodigy, he dropped out of university (where he was surprisingly studying music) and moved back to his first love, hip hop. And thank God! This is one of the best tracks I’ve heard from stateside for years, a paean to the importance of knowing your hip hop roots. “No bricks, no city, no city, no block .
