Carolina might be the first place you think of when you think of stateside rap, but maybe all that is going to change with this talented rapper coming through thick with this banging new single. Fresh from the release of his excellent mixtape ‘The Future’, Big Cas is back with something that is destined to be massive. It’s got that Southern ‘wasp’ type production that producers such as Lil Jon and Jazzie Pha have made famous. The track see’s Cas talk about all the different types of shoes he rocks… might sound odd I know, but the way its done just shows the talent of this MC. I really liked this single and pump his mixtape at least once a week. Carolina Cas has a certain presence on the mic which is second to none and has a real original flow to compliment it. ‘Check My Feet’ should be in the record boxes of every UK DJ that loves that ‘Crunk’ vibe. Good music.
